Specialty Dental Services was founded by Dr. Richard B. Liposky, a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with more than 25 years of clinical experience . Over the years, Dr. Liposky has shared his professional experience and large clinical database through seminars and continuing education courses. With over 100,000 clinical slides covering all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Specialty Dental Services can now provide online access to Dr. Liposky's clinical experience and database. The mission of Specialty Dental Services is to provide current, practical clinical information to the dental practitioner through access to online databases, in-office hands-on instruction and consultation, and clinical presentations. The Specialty Dental Services resource and continuing education web site provides reports and summaries on interesting cases, diagnostic challenges and solutions. Also available is access to a library of clinical photos to support inquiries, and information concerning upcoming continuing education courses presented by the SDS faculty. Specialty Dental Services provides a Patient Education Support program called 'Ask the Doctor' that enables dental practitioners to refer patients to www.SpecDentSvc.com for general information in support of their treatment plans Dental practitioners can benefit from subscribing to the SDS Online Dental Consulting Service (ODCS) by receiving online consults and a credible resource for their patients. The Online Dental Consulting Service enables practitioners to submit questions or entire cases to Board Certified Oral Surgeons for review. Subscribers can also participate in discussions regarding interesting cases that are routinely presented. The ODCS subscribers can present customized information in the Patient Education Support program to meet their professional preference or individual patient's needs. At least two months of Online Dental Consulting Service are included in each of the Dental Practitioner continuing education courses. Specialty Dental Services welcomes clinicians who wish to add their expertise to the site.
